Dejavu we find our self having one of them moments when we come away with YET another 1-0 lost to the hands of Halstead Town FC in the League at THE MILBANK STADIUM just over a year ago.
The start of the first half both sides just playing the ball around but it wasn’t till 7th minute of the game that Halstead Town got the first real chance of the game when they broke through but a VERY good recovery by Newham put the player under pressure and managed to get it out for a corner, which nothing come of that corner.
Halstead Town FC really come out of the gates fast in this game and they was looking to break the scoring early but Athletic Newham was standing strong and clearing their lines with what ever Halstead Town throw at them,
It took 26th Minute for the deadlock to be broken and that come from Joel Older who got on the end of a long ball from the back line and found some space with the Newham player backing off giving him all the room in the world to get a strike off and beat Wilkionson in the Athletic Newham goal.
Athletic Newham tried to get back into the game but Jack Cherry had other ideas when he was pulling out saves out of this world to keep the score like 1-0 Halstead Town,

Athletic Newham started as the second half strongly and within minutes Jack Cherry was called on again in the thick of the action as he pulled off another top save to keep his side in front.
The second half didn’t have many chances but Halstead Town had a few but never really trouble Wilkinson Boateng in the Athletic Newham goal, most of the action happened the last 10 minutes of the game with Jack Cherry being involved again making sure hes Cleansheet wasn’t going be taken away from him with save after save,
Sadly we got RED Card in this game, Richard Kone was shown his marching orders by the Referee on the 98th Minute of the game (YES and there was more time to play and more drama)
Almost the last kick of the game Athletic Newham fought they had got something from the game but some reason the goal was Disallowed (Video footage has been watched and still puzzled just how this was called off side)
