Just goes to show how quickly the season can turn with on a high of a 3-0 away win on the opening day fixture we are brought back down the earth with a 4-1 beating at the ends of West Essex at Wadham Lodge on Tuesday Night (1st August 2023).
3 goals from (Greg Frederick, Bartlett-Antwi & David Bell) in the first 20 minutes did all the damage in the match with half time coming with West Essex being 3-0 up but Athletic Newham did have some fight in the second half with scoring a goal but that wasn’t before West Essex added another one with Bartlett-Antwi getting his second goal of the game, Daniel Izekor got his name on the score sheet for Athletic Newham but didn’t mean much.
We finished the game with 10 men with Richard Kone being sinbinned on the 85 minute.
