Match Report:

We knew that it was going to be a tough game considering their league position but we still fancied ourselves in trying to cause an upset in this match.

First Half:

We had a good start for the second game in a row by scoring first even though there was an element of luck in it as our general play was put in by their defender into his own goal to make it 1-0 to Athletic Newham A FC.

15-20 later we conceded a poor communication between our left back and defensive midfielder which allowed their winger to put in a simple ball inside the penalty box to make it 1-1.

We conceded another goal through a debatable penalty as it was harshly given considering that our defender’s arm was in a natural position. They scored from it and make it 2-1 to Snaresbrook. We conceded again through poor defending by our left back for them to easily finish and make it 3-1 and that’s how the half ended.

Second half:

We were very dominant and missed a lot chances through Jalo, Dan, Embalo who missed a 1v1, Jeremy missed some chances, Alberto missed a chance to name a few.
However, Embalo came on and made a difference as he assisted our goal in the second half as he put in a goal cross at the back post and Jeremy headed it in to make it 3-2.
They only one chance in the second half and scored from it to make it 4-2 to Snaresbrook FC.

We had loads of opportunities to get a draw and potentially a win but it just wasn’t our day and it ended in a defeat.

MOTM: Jason. He had a good game as he had to play adapt to a different position and he did well.
