Athletic Newham A FC vs London Cranes FC – Match Report

It was our first home match of the season so we wanted to get a win at home ground and get the much needed 3 points on the board.

First Half:

We started the game well as within 3 minutes of the half we took the lead through a good press by our striker Dan and he went to score with a good finish to make it 1-0 to Athletic Newham A FC.

10 minutes later they scored through poor marking that led to their goal to make it 1-1.

We later conceded another goal through a poor goalkeeping error which made it 2-1 to London Cranes FC.

We conceded another 3 goals through poor marking and individual errors so the half ended 5-1 to London Cranes. It was a major disappointment.

Second half:

It was better but it was about damage limitations at this point and we scored two more goals through a free kick from Dan to get his second goal of the game and we scored another goal from a counter attacking play which was finished well. However, we ended up conceding 2 more goals and that’s how the game ended.

MOTM: Dan Devey. He was a constant threat in the game and scored two good goals.
